Acerca de Vuelo.Aero

Vuelo.Aero es un sitio web dedicado a la comunidad de aviadores de habla hispana. Es un sitio nuevo pero ya está generando una gran oleada de interés.
El tema principal de este sitio es la Aviación General pero, desde luego, estamos interesados en cualquier cosa que vuele.
El plan original del sitio era informar y entretener pero tampoco era una idea rígida. Dado el interés de los visitantes, pienso hacer algunos cambios y agregados en el futuro:
• Si quiere convertirse en piloto, habrá algo para usted.
• A los que estén interesados en comprar un avión, los tendré informados.
• ¿Hay algo relacionado a la aviación que quiera compartir? Queremos ayudarle a difundirlo.
Sobre .aero
.aero en un dominio de alto nivel relativamente nuevo reservado para la comunidad de aviadores. Quién ha intentado registrar un dominio sabe cuán difícil puede ser conseguir un nombre que no haya sido tomado o reservado por algún oportunista de internet. .aero es una manera de detener a los oportunistas: para tener una extensión .aero tiene que demostrar que es parte de la comunidad de aviadores. Yo, por ejemplo, tuve que presentar mi licencia de piloto como prueba para que se me permitiera usar .aero.
En construcción:
Hay algo que estoy considerando ofrecer a nuestros lectores que es la opción de tener una dirección de correo @vuelo.aero. Otra cosa que estoy considerando es darle hosting a sitios de aviación con importantes descuentos. La idea detrás de proporcionarle hosting a sitios es darle a otros pilotos (o gente interesada en la aviación) una voz en internet a la que puedan acceder. Si está interesado en esto asegúrese de hacérmelo saber escribiéndome.

Vuelo.Aero is a website dedicated to the Spanish speaking aviation community. It is a new website but already it is generating a great deal of interest.
The main focus of this website is General Aviation but, of course, we are interested in just about anything that flies.
The website’s original plan was to inform and entertain but that was not something set in stone. Given visitor interest, I plan to make some changes and additions in the future:
• If you are looking to become a pilot, there will be something for you.
• Those of you interested in buying an airplane, I have noticed you.
• Have something you want to share related to aviation? We want to help you get the word out.
About .aero
.aero is a relatively new top level domain reserved for the aviation community. Anyone that has tried to register a domain knows how difficult it can be to come up with a name that has not been taken or reserved by a cyber-squatter. .aero is one way of slowing down squatters: to get an .aero extension you have to prove you are part of the aviation community. I, for example, had to provide my pilot’s license as proof to be allowed use .aero.
In the works:
One thing that I am considering offering to our readers is the option to have an @vuelo.aero email address. Something else that I am considering is hosting aviation websites at a greatly discounted rate. The idea behind hosting websites is to provide other pilots (or those interested in aviation) with an affordable voice on the Internet. If you are interested in this please be sure to let me know by writing me.
